Ying-er 2006

We adopted our daughter Charlotte Xiao from China in 2006. ("ying-er" means baby in mandarin). This blog tells our story about building a family of 4, and the on-going joys/trials in our lives.

I know, I know - too quiet for too long

Here are some photos and the short version of our busy, exciting lives (ha!).
- saw a million houses. Disliked all of them. Got stressed about being homeless
- Added searching for a rental to the 'to do' list
- The girls spent a week puking due to the stomach flu
- Saw a house - liked it - found out it had foundation cracks
- Bought a cottage lot
- Saw more houses - disliked all of them
- March Break....tried to make up for the guilt of not going away by planning fun activities every day. Was exhausted by the end.
- Breaking news: bought a house last night. HOORAY.
- Now interviewing moving companies and planning how to survive the fact that our closing dates don't match up....
More on all of this later. Here are the photos:
AJ on the 'ski jump'
Charlotte wearing her 'helmow' (her word)
Charlotte relaxing in the lodge after a hard day on the slopes
Fun with ice on a sunny day
March Break - an attempt at tobogganing

If the hill isn't slippery - hit the slide at the park!
