She scoots, she stands, she cruises, she walks!!!

OMG – Charlotte has been working on moving and grooving this week with amazing results.

It all started with the desire to stand, every minute of every day. Then she realized that scooting on her bum was OK, but it just wasn’t the same as what everyone else was doing. You can’t be in AJ’s parade if you’re scooting, you have to walk.

And there you have it….her motivation to learn to use the walker.

Dad just likes being in AJ’s parades so he can wear fun costumes.




Since that fateful day last Tuesday she is now cruising everywhere. She particularly likes standing at the window so she can look out and watch the action with the squirrels.

As you can see however, she still has some trouble with the transition from location to location. (Yes, I probably should have rushed to help her, but I HAD to get the photo.)

The big news came on Friday. AJ was helping Charlotte walk around, and when Steve came home she saw him, got excited, forgot that she couldn’t really walk, and took her first unassisted steps.

Naturally, she has not been able to walk on her own since then, but we’re working on it!!!!
