Canada Day must have been the coldest on record!

Just look at these poor girls - they are wearing about 10 layers!!

After taking in the festivities downtown Ottawa, and a little facepainting, we headed for the lake.

We did our own version of fireworks…..which worked out eventually, but started of a little shaky. (photo of Mark doing the "light and run" move) AJ now has the famous quote of the weekend, “SNIFF. This is the worst Canada Day ever! I can’t believe the Dads can’t light the fireworks.”

Thank God they got them going. Who wants to live with that guilt!

And, as always, the sparklers were a big hit!
